Lorpen TMS Merino Shorty Light Hiking Socks are just what the hiker ordered. These socks can be used in a variety of weather conditions. Lorpen is using Schoeller's New Merino Wool in these socks for moisture management and some insulation. They will insulate even when wet. This is the same sock as the TXML, but in a shorty length.

Lorpen uses two layers in these socks. The inner layer is the new Merino Wool for softness and natural comfort. Merino wool doesn't itch like the old style wool, but it does a great job of wicking away sweat. The outer layer is Nylon for durability.

There is a multiple density knit on the TMS Shorty's. This means they have a more open knit over the instep to reduce bulk, improve fit and enhance moisture management and a more cushioned sole where you need it.

There is Lycra throughout the sock to keep it in place and a flat toe seam so it won't rub on boots or shoes.

Lorpen puts their name, the model of the sock and the size on the toe so it's easy to order more when you need them.
