Description   Katadyn created the Vario to be the most intelligent water filter on the market.  With a simple twist you can change the Vario from a fast flow filter to a long lasting filter depending on water conditions.  You can use the glass fiber filter only for fast pumping in clear water, or force the water through a ceramic disk to remove the bigger particles before it reaches the glass fiber filter.  The Vario also employs a carbon filter to remove odors and tastes. The Vario is a premium drinking water system.  It combines the benefits of easy operation, hight water output and extended cartridge life. The Vario uses a dual action pump so it pumps on both the upstroke and the downstroke so you get the water you need in half the time.  It will attach directly to the bottom of wide mouth water bottles.  It produces up to 2 quarts per minute on the faster flow setting and 1 quart per minute on the longer life setting.
