Description   Kahtoola took their very popular Aluminum Crampon and made it out of steel.  This makes it even more durable than the original!  The Steel KTS features the same innovations of Kahtoola's original aluminum KTS... but it’s designed to handle rockier terrain. The points are 1/4-inch longer and sharper than the aluminum model. At 23.3 ounces per pair, they’re still lightweight, and they fold down into a compact package.  Like the original KTS, these crampons work with your running shoes as well as your ski, snowshoe, hiking, and telemark boots. Totally flexible and adjustable, thanks to Kahtoolas patented LeafSpring® extender bar.  Each KTS features the Kahtoola LeafSpring extender bar, which flexes naturally with all your footwear. Made from two layers of stainless spring steel, this innovation connects the toe and heel pieces, offering tool-free adjustment.  Two sizes come with each KTS to cover a range of 10 shoe sizes… you simply change the extender bar and adjust for your running shoe, snow boot, or whatever. We guarantee our LeafSpring extender for life! The KTS Steel is the best choice for snow and ice travel over abusive terrain, when durability and sharpness are more important than weight.
